DIY Gothic Floor

 Hello All! Welcome to DIY Gothic Floor . Basically, this is a black floor I refinished and cleaned.  The beginning essentially looked like a barn floor. It was originally covered with this awful tan carpet. I pulled out all the staples, mopped, and primed the floor before painting. The floor has old paint and is very torn up. I had to put wood filler on the broken places best I could. I took sand paper and sanded the floor over once, but this was such a long process without a floor sander. The painting begins! I used an "outdoor paint" to hopefully give some longevity to the paint, and so far it has held up!  The Finish!

My Best Friend: Turkey 65lbs

  SweetieBell 65lb Giant White Turkey This tom is my best friend. He weighed 65 pounds a couple months ago and has been on a weight loss journey to extend his life.  His weight loss journey has been a success but found with hardship. I was told he has to lose some weight off his heart and to start him on a blood thinner/pain medicine.  EXERCISE: His current regimen is to monitor his food intake, medication routine, and to walk him around the yard several times. It's currently working, but with winter we have hit a platau.  I will update this blog regularly about my boy and how his health is going.

Goth DIY Bathroom

                                                                           GOTH DIY           A bathroom is a place of importance in each family. Adding your own style to it is important! Originally, the bathroom at my old country home had linoleum flooring, old tiles on the wall, and white accent walls. I have changed most of this because this doesn't fit my aesthetic. The entrance to the bathroom was fine but still looks very plain. The white wall is a great base for something more interesting.                                            ...

Goth DIY: Kitchen

                                                                        Goth DIY: Kitchen I bought this home a couple years ago now, and I've been slowly working on remodeling it to fit my aesthetic. It is currently a work in progress, but it is better than when it began.  In Progress:  I will continue to add to this blog to show the kitchen in completion. I am a stay-at-home mom working on these things with my little 4-year-old. Currently working on the floor, and almost finished! These are just a few ideas to Goth up your Kitchen! Painting your cabinets/window frames/fridge black for a sleeker look!
